Our Story
More than half of American women are lonely. Not because they don't want connection. Because making real friends as an adult is hard — and nothing exists that meets women where they are, when they can. Until now.
The origin
We didn't dream this up in a boardroom. Over 1,000 women in the Marco Polo community told us they wanted it and participated in the pilot. So we built it.
What is Circles?
Circles is a paid membership that hand-matches you into a small group of women in your life stage and interests. Real friendship, by video, on your schedule. No events to attend, no awkward mixers, no swiping. Just the right women, showing up for each other.
The proof
In 2026, over 1,000 women signed up and completed the four-week Circles program. Of the 285 who completed our survey:
- 1 in 4 made a real friend inside their Circle
- More than half made a friend or are on their way
- 67% want to do it again
